It is done with a "Laquer stick", a crayon-like item that you smear on and then wipe off. About $5 thru gunsmith supply houses. (The last one I bought was over 20 years ago from Ralph Shattuck...)
It is a temporary way to highlight numbers, markings, etc. Now the white you see in the safety markings is really a factory paint. dju |
