800 miles away, not too bad, are internal flights cheap?

I recommend ground travel along the California coast. Train would be OK, but if driving, you'll encounter a post card view around every corner! ...and you'll feel like you're in a TV car commercial.

Hi all just a quick question, when you see a gin with white numers etc how is that done? Is it chalk pressed in or shoe whitener or something like that?

Cheers

Ben

It is done with a "Laquer stick", a crayon-like item that you smear on and then wipe off. About $5 thru gunsmith supply houses. (The last one I bought was over 20 years ago from Ralph Shattuck...)
It is a temporary way to highlight numbers, markings, etc.
Now the white you see in the safety markings is really a factory paint.
