Unusual Side Plate?

Rich is on the right track, lots of work to overcome a problem? Maybe failure to reset caused by putting too strong a spring in the sear bar plunger?

Or lighten trigger pull??? What is the trigger pull on a typical Luger???

I'd pay $70 for a sideplate, but not this one...
