Thanks, Norm! I had read in Ron's sticky on Frame Variations that the barrel shank/thread was 1mm longer (~.039"/.040")...and the corresponding part of the receiver front...that's your area ahead of the takedown lever...

...But where is the 1mm longer area at the rear of the frame of Mauser/Krieghoff frames??? At the very rear of the "ears"??? You're not counting the Mauser "hump", are you???
