Default Broken Toggle Pin Retainer Pin

The "retainer" pin which holds the center toggle pin has broken off at the base, leaving me with a blind hole blocked by the base of that retainer pin. Is this common? Is there a recommended way to get it out? Is there somebody who can repair this? This is my first post. Thanks in advance for any advice

Default middle toggle pin retaining pin

Hi Professor, and Thanks Bill for the referral! As for the small retaining pin, removal can range fromm a simple tap out with a ground down 1/16" punch, to removal by Laser!!! It is different every time, and it should be full length. but will most likely do the job even if compromised? If you want to, send me the toggle train and I will remove the old pin and instsll a new custom fit pin to cure the issue... Contact me at: gctomeks@msn.com
Let me know if you want to pursue a repair, and best to you, til....lat'r........
