Default Marble, same as the sight manufacturer

picked this up at a antique flea market this morning.

It is just over the size of a quarter in width, and about 3/4 of an inch thick.

Is it the same manufacturer of the Marble gun sights we see on lugers?

Was told it is a WW1 compass, I liked it, so its mine now
