Marble, same as the sight manufacturer

picked this up at a antique flea market this morning.

It is just over the size of a quarter in width, and about 3/4 of an inch thick.

Is it the same manufacturer of the Marble gun sights we see on lugers?

Was told it is a WW1 compass, I liked it, so its mine now :)

Yep, same outfit for the sights, knives, hatchets, etc. I like Marbles stuff. Not sure if the compass is WWI era, but probably close (I have a Marbles compass llike yours)

Ron, I thought you might see the word 'marble' and respond. I love things associated like this :)

Don't forget their sideline into Firearms as well. Guys like me think of the "Game Getter" first when we hear the Marble name in relation to the outdoor sports.
The originals are today an amnestied Short Barrel Rifle, just like Luger Artilleries, Navies and Carbines.

These compass' were sold by Marble's for inletting into rifle stocks. I've seen many old '94 Winchesters, Model 8, 81 and 141 Remingtons, '99 Savages , etc. with them imbedded into the butt stocks.
