Somehow have acquired two Sauer 38Hs, one marked Eagle/37 for Army use, and one marked Eagle-C for police use. Picked the Army one up to go with my Dad's Fallschimjager Badge, but it didn't have the right grips. Picked up the second one to get the grips and screws off, as well as another magazine, with the idea that I would sell it to recoup some of the cost. When the second one arrived, not only was it too nice to break up, the magazine was serial numbered to the pistol. Of course, I now have to keep both of them and look for a third to cannabilize. Given my record, maybe its best I just keep looking for grip screws, or I'll end up with another one.
Top one is the Police pistol, bottom one is the Fallschimjager Pistol. Magazine for the Fallschimjager 38H is later war non-matching. ![]() ![]() Here's the Magazine for the Police 38H as well as the Eagle/N proofs. ![]() |
