I have a nice 1936 dated S/42 Mauser P-08, serial number 752 h. It currently has an un-numbered FXO aluminum bottomed magazine. I would like to find a correct loading tool and find out what would be the correct type of magazine. I would greatly appreciate any information as to what is the correct loading tool and magazine.
Thanks!!!! |

Not sure about the mag, but you'll have to check the waffenampts for the correct tool marking. What does the proof look like?

JD, the correct tool is one marked with a droop wing eagle-over-63 (DE/63).
A proper magazine had a shiny nickle plated tube with an aluminum bottom. The markings on the bottom are any number with an "h" suffix and Waffenamt DE/63. Any "h" suffix magazine with this nickle plating will automatically be marked with a DE/63 unless someone has messed with it. Good Luck!! |
