Spandau, lot 6, 1917 GE 1 18 D: G. Egerstorff & Cie, Linden bei Harz Lot 1, 1918 (these seem to belong to the box) GE 12 17 D: G. Egerstorff & Cie, Linden bei Harz Lot 12, 1917 DWM 12 K 8: Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken, Karlsruhe Lot 8, 1912. The blunt flat-head is correct. These were the first design, later replaced by the round nose version because of feeding problems in the Trommelmagazin with flat nose rounds. So the box has 4 original cartrigdes in it, the rest dates from WWI, but was added to the box later, not originally. They are all german rounds. No idea of the value, though. I paid about 3 USD for a single unfired 1917 DWM cartridge last year. |
