Yes Ron that is a type 2 safety, just because I think the checkering, instead of the straight grooves, looks neat!

Doug, the poor little thing is actually a bastard, as it doesn't have a legitimate parent. The reciever is a commercial, the frame is a military DWM with the stock lug ground off. The barrel is a new 6" cut back, the toggle train is DWM commercial and the navy rear toggle is an extra I just happened to have laying around not doing anything! In fact, the only two numbers that match are the breech block and middle toggle.
