Hello Tom A.,

1. Thanks for setting me straight on the terminology of the "witness marks" !

I agree proper terms are important. I also think knowing the depth, width, aligment of the marks should be the "same" across the barrel and the frame. This is what I was trying to convey to Jim Elson...

2. Can you tell me what is proper : Take down lever or locking bolt ? I seem to recall reading "locking bolt" was used in the older books, but now the terminology has seemed to switch to "take down lever".
