Most single action and cap and ball revolvers follow Colt's lead and are left handed. There are a number of left handed bolt action rifles about. The lever action, and many single shot rifles are ambidexterous.

Of course a serious game rifle or shotgun has two barrels and in such a case is nearly symmetrical. Quite a number of such have been made with the triggers transposed for the left hander, or in many cases have a single trigger.
