I don't know if you had that problem in the states but twenty or more years ago when Carcarno's started appearing in this country the ammo that came with them was REALLY hot. It was in 50 round boxes.

I was told it was 6.5x52 ammo for the M30 Breda machine gun. Appeared safe to fire (no extraction or cratering problems seen on the primers) but the muzzle flash was something amazing!

Good luck with your Carcano, I can't hit a damn thing with mine but it's still fun trying!
