What does "Gesichert" at the safety location mean?

Default It is German for...

"Made Safe" or "safe". In other words - the Luger has the safety engaged...

Obviously - your English is MUCH BETTER then my German - which would not take much


So - does "Das ist richtig!" mean I was right, wrong or I mis-spelled "Luger" ("LUGAR") again??!!

I believe the opposite to Gesichert (safety on) is to say the weapon is Scharf (ready to fire), I think, my German is a bid rusty.

Default Perhaps "FEUER" is the opposite of "Gesichert" Previous
