Welcome to the forum Hans.
There are 2 flavors of Mauser Parabellum Lugers 1. Made during the 1930's through WWII 2. Made for commercial sale during the 1970's As you do intend to shoot the gun I would suggest the more modern manufacture, or a mismatch from the early period. Early period guns were hand finished and each part numbered. When shooting a 90+ year old gun - parts do break - and get replaced But a matched collectors gun is now an unmatched "shooter" grade and much lower in cost One shot could cost you a couple of thousand dollars if you were unlucky Get a shooter - leave the collectibles to the collectors. Do go to the FAQ on this site, download, and read - a lot of your questions have answers there http://forum.lugerforum.com/showthread.php?t=35479 Last edited by Kiwi; 07-25-2021 at 02:44 PM.
