You've kind of hijacked an on going post on another subject with your question and should probably have started a fresh one to get your answers. What you have is a fairly common, but in very nice condition, 1939 Code 42 Mauser pistol. You might consider using a different reference tool than Aaron Davis. Too many errors and bad assumptions in his work. Jan Still's "Third Reich Lugers" or Don Hallock/Joop van de Kant's "The Mauser Parabellum" would be better choices for research of Mauser Lugers. The markings on your Mauser are correct and have nothing to do with DWM, which was a war time manufacturer in WW1. There is a wealth of information on this Forum that would answer most of your questions, so do a little searching and you will see what I mean.
