There is a very active collector from Norway on the Walther P.38 forum I belong to. Asle has a large number of operating handguns, including those in 9mm caliber.

There are also sports shooting licenses available, correct?

If you have an interest in these fine firearms, why not work toward getting a license and help stop destruction of these pieces of history. That history is especially close in Norway after the German occupation and the successful MilOrg heros you have lived among.
