Call it what you will, but if you flout the law regarding NFA weapons,
you should know that a big fine, and/or 10 years in prison, and loss of one's ability to own any firearm- can be the consequence.

The weapon in the picture is not a "Dissipator", a dissipator uses the longer rifle hand guards; this specimen has the short carbine handguards, and the barrel is +/- 12". The guy could have made a pistol with a 12" barrel- but he stuck a "rifle stock" on it, thus making a SBR.
