Could this be YOU? Fascists in USA

n Kolozie's apartment, police found and seized a dismantled AR-15 rifle, a 1911 Colt Commander handgun, 19 large capacity magazines, several hundred rounds of ammunition varying in size, dozens of parts to various firearms and several components for manufacturing ammunition. Kolozie faces the following charges: unlicensed sale/possession of an assault weapon; possession of a firearm without an FID card or license to carry; possession of ammunition without an FID card or license to carry; improper storage of a large capacity firearm; improper storage of a firearm; and 19 counts of illegal possession of a large capacity magazine. This guy is being accused of crimes? His supposed crimes are less than most of us go to the range with on a frequent basis! |
Even worse is that I had to use a VPN reroute to read the friggin article.
|
Gerben, it's a direct link here.
|
Yes, but they won't let non-US residents access their site.
So I had to use a US based IP-address to read it. |
The only major issue I see here is that his parts are, supposedly, stolen. Otherwise his crimes that are highlighted in the article are: having Vietnam era weaponry, having some ammo on hand, being a reloader, and having some magazines...
|
So I wonder how they prove intent for buying stolen parts on line if the parts are not numbered and if he didn't acknowledge that he knew they were stolen?
As for the rest, well, take it as a warning of things to come. dju |
In Illinois you cannot possess a firearm or ammo without a state issued FOID Card. That includes touching or picking one up. Even at a show or dealership. All this stuff is going to get much worse before it gets better.
Gun violence and do gooder propaganda is having a significant effect. |
I once took an oath to uphold the Constitution of the UNITED STATES..I believe the oath is as valid today as when I took it 50 years ago. FEDERAL law trumps any state mandate dreamed up by pinhead "lawmakers" on a state level.
The 2nd SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. I have bought gun parts on eBay before. NEVER once were they advertised or described as STOLEN. |
I wonder if Illinois would like, for the sake of consistency in its laws, to ensure everyone has a Voter ID and a Free Speech Identity Card, etc. I’ll stop here before running the risk of violating forum policies on politics.

His biggest mistake was NOT moving out of a Blue State once he reached the age of majority, and decided to be a firearms enthusiast.
Age of majority; The age of majority is the threshold of adulthood as it is conceptualized (and recognized or declared) in law. It is the chronological moment when minors cease to legally be considered children and assume control over their persons, actions, and decisions, thereby terminating the legal control and legal responsibilities of their parents or guardian over and for them. |
ALL firearms "laws" are unconstitutional.
|
There are only two firearm laws we need to leave on the books. All the rest should be done away with. #1. Convicted Felons cannot possess firearms or ammunition. #2. Enhancement of a specified number of years for committing certain violent felonies such as murder, rape and robbery. That is it. They just have to enforce and prosecute those two and all the rest are just burdensome, unconstitutional constraints on law abiding citizens. That's my two cents.

Unfortunately, all it takes to infringe on our constitutional rights is a legislature willing to pass a law, a mayor or governor willing to sign it (or a legislature willing to override a veto), and enough courts and appellate courts willing to accept the infringement.
All this is based on a concept called "scrutiny". "Strict scrutiny" means that the constitution means exactly what it says. In the Heller and MacDonald (Washington and Chicago) decisions, the Supreme Court applied "Intermediate Scrutiny" which allows some interpretation of the constitution. Unfortunately, judges in states like Maryland and Massachusetts and their appellate Federal courts apply an ever more lax level of scrutiny (basically legislating constitutional infringement from the bench). This has resulted in "scary looking assault weapons" being banned because they frighten people. That is the entire justification, and so far it's survived appellate courts and has not been accepted to be heard by the Supreme Court. This is why election of politicians that will put judges on the bench to apply strict scrutiny to all gun control laws is so important. |
This is why I take the great circle route around Mass. Scary that this is so close to Maine.
|
Even scarier that until 1820 Maine and Massachusetts were the same state.
|
A permit to exercise a Right (as in Capital letter R). Bull****. Having stolen parts? How was this defined? The only thing I see is an SBR. Not legal without ATF paperwork.
Our house in Idaho will be finished in July. I will be very happy to move from Oregon. This state has become Northern, Northern California. Oregon is going the same way as Mass. It has become too stupid to live in. G2 |

I'm going to disagree with you on the Dissipator, the measuring tape next to the barrel sure looks like it's about 12+ inches. Rifles must be at least 16" long. Regardless of stupid laws on length, which is arbitrary - IMNSHO, requiring a permission slip from the government to exercise a fundamental Right is tyranny.

Rifle barrels do not have to be 16+, IF they have a permanently attached (pinned or welded) muzzle brake or flash suppressor that brings the combined total length to 16"+.

you should know that a big fine, and/or 10 years in prison, and loss of one's ability to own any firearm- can be the consequence.:( The weapon in the picture is not a "Dissipator", a dissipator uses the longer rifle hand guards; this specimen has the short carbine handguards, and the barrel is +/- 12". The guy could have made a pistol with a 12" barrel- but he stuck a "rifle stock" on it, thus making a SBR. |
