Thank you George....I have the Russian capture grips that were on the Luger that I bought. 100 percent sure they are bakelite. They have the formaldehyde smell, the clinking noise, and survived your pin test you described. The ones I bought for 400....I just looked and holes aren’t threaded and melted with a hot staple I heated. I already asked the guy for a refund and waiting to hear back from him. He swears there authenticity because he got them from an armores chest(whatever that is). I better wait to mention his company name until he gets back to me. I think I’ve been had😡
