Hi Mike, hey! Correct procedure is... Put on safety glasses!! Remove all loose rounds that you can.... then reset the winding lever in the locked / tensioned position.. then remove cover screw, and also angle area small cross bolt, cover assembly with towel, and remove cover...
Clear jam, polish are of jam, re-install follower and spring, and reassemble... reload and retry... repeat as necessary... GT....
