I consider myself reasonably literate, but I have yet to ascertain the meaning of a single 'John St.' post. Could it be an insurmountable language barrier? I don't think so, because others with native languages other than English manage to get their points across rather succinctly. We overlook spelling and grammatical errors all the time, because after all, we're not here to 'grade' posts for clarity or 'correctness'. Perhaps we're being rather cleverly trolled with intelligently conceived gibberish, although chances are against it. Is he saying the M9/92FS is a better pistol than the Luger for actual use in the real world? No argument there. When the recent hurricane was bearing down on me, I went to the gun cabinet to prepare for the possibility of civil unrest/looting/whatever following the storm. I looked over my pistols and took the Beretta 92FS, leaving a Luger, an HP and a 1911. The Beretta is an excellent combat pistol and is extremely smooth and accurate in operation. Fortunately the locals behaved themselves and everyone acted as they should for a change, helping their neighbors and cleaning up their properties. The Beretta went back to sleep without speaking, but it sure made me feel better there in the dark, one in the pipe and the hammer safely down. All of which has nothing to do with the appreciation of the Luger or one's choice of a duty or combat pistol, but I think that's what he was getting at.
