The best area in the US is DC area. No earthquake, no big storm, not too hot, not too cold, not much snow. All other places have one type of trouble or another...

Have you lived there?

DC was built in a swamp, they do have floods. It is hot and humid in the summer, and in winter they have snow- but it only shuts down the govt. so it is not all bad!

Trouble? They have Congress and the Bureaucracy- more trouble they don't need!

I did, in 1970-71. I worked at a funeral home on Wilson Blvd. in Arlington, across the street from Sears. (I think it is a subway stop now.) The big snow that winter was about 2-3." My tracks were the only ones on the way to work! Being raised in Northern NY was good practice for snow and cold.

+1 on the trouble there.
