Maybe the victim, but probably none. I'd still say that the gun free zones are a feel-good measure that only makes matters worse, those who really intend to use a gun will bring it anyway. It's not like a potential murderer will turn around and walk home just because the sign on the door says "Gun free zone", to him it will read "Have at it, we're unarmed".

Really, the vast majority of the mass shootings we see take place in gun free zones (schools, churches, movie theaters etc), and it's not to far fetched to believe there's a reason for that pattern.
