Default 1936 s/42 from gunbroker

I've been in the market for a nice vet bringback third Reich luger for the last couple months. I've been watching gunbroker and came upon this:

I realize I paid high retail for it, but I wanted something that was brought here as war trophy and not just an import. Capture papered examples were scarce, and when found were expensive. This one has about 90% original finish remaining and the strawed parts are gorgeous. As a bonus the seller sold me an FXO bakelite bottom magazine in excellent condition for $100, and has all the vet's military and family contact information. I love it. I realize the plaque may hurt the collector's value for some, but it appears it could be removed easily. I'm keeping it as-is, it just talks to me. I will provide a range report once I take her out.
