A little confusion here..."Stripped"...Do you mean you removed the blue finish??? Or that the threads are stripped???

I was just over at Ace Hardware yesterday getting some Metric SHCS to repair damage to my 3in1 mill/lathe/drill. They have the Metric equivalents of our coarse and fine. You may get lucky and be able to determine the thread size & pitch.

If you do a Search here (I know, it's asking a lot ) there is also a guy in the UK IIRC Evans who makes custom screws. Other members have gotten old Whitworth & Metric screws from him.

Edit: FWIW, I have a new repro stock attaching iron in front of me and the screws are #8-32, not Metric...I know that doesn't help you, just for general info...
