What I was trying to explain is that the wood had a flaw and would split more on firing a few rounds. Over time how much would it split? Who knows. You don't repair that type of problem. It is a replacement - with the same and matching wood. So I am waiting. and it is getting to be rediculous. A month ago he said it was almost done.

Default stock

Hi CAP, sounds like he has to replace both the shoulder and the forearm stock so they match. Sorry your having a bad time with this guy. I was trying to contact him for a forearm stock. He is the only one I can find for this work. I guess if your the only act in town, you can do as you please.

I think folks would need to see your issue in the wood - but I know that they used to add brass nails or rods to fix splitting stocks.

And Hugh and I bet GT can fix most things.

But sounds like you got bad wood.

As a note, have not heard from Eugene in a while -
