Greetings all,
Has anyone contacted Lugerman recently. I can't get in touch with him, he has not responded to email or snail mail. Is he OK or is he ill, out of town? Anybody know? Thanks - IanOx |

I've heard nothing from or about Eugene in quite some time, maybe a year or more. Keep us posted.

According to previous forum postings, delayed response is normal because he's very busy. If interested in a gun on... for example gunbroker.com, sending a few questions to seller, and the seller never replies.... will you simply bid on it? Is buying service very different from buying a gun? Attitude is everything.

If you do a Search here, you will find several threads about him...His work is impressive, and from what little I know/can tell, also reasonable [Luger carbines]...But his response time may be slow...
![]() Hopefully, that means he is hard at work on your project! ![]()

My experience with Eugene is that when you have something on order from him and have paid the money you are hurting because he works currently on where he can get the next dollar; which is not your project as he has your money. I purchased a carbine from him and upon firing it with ammo supplied by him the shoulder stock got a small split. I've been since march trying to get the replacement sent back to me. It's been first one excuse and then another. And we are not talking small dollars. He was reasonable in length of time to do the original job; but now I don't owe him anything. He owes me - that is when his M.O. is to take WAAAAAY too long in sending out the item. Read the posts and you will see the pattern.

Jack, we'll see. I have a Carbine on order.
He lives about 30 miles from me, I guess I could send him flowers so he'll work on mine... |

My friend, I just couldn't resist taking the chance.
I might as well admit it, for some silly reason instead of a 1920 carbine with a DWM, I asked for a G date S/42 (that was the donor parts gun I had). The magazines are Haenel Schmeisser and that real bright chrome and GT new aluminum bases. I wish I'd had the Simson parts gun to have used, but it was long sold, so this is my end of the Weimar era carbine fantasy piece ![]()

Cool!!!
![]() What a great opportunity for Eugene! A LugerForum Super Moderator placing an order, doubtless planning on a detailed online write-up of the progress, problems, and outcome of the entire project, from start to in-his-hot-little-hands!!! ![]() I'm sure that a swiftly done, beautifully finished carbine will entice others to place orders as well!!! ...Or at least one other... ![]()

It took 2 months for him to send a Luger Locking bolt 2 me, Every week same story, I will mail it Saturday. Asked him repeatedly to refund my money, Then he finally says he mailed it, A week and 1/2 later he asks to cofirm my address, Oh sorry he mailed out 4 locking bolts last week but not mine. Bolt came in, looks like a repro to me.
I was gonna get a navy sight from him, but not now, Not worth the trouble |

CAP, If you still have the stock in YOUR possession, IMHO it is not worth the aggravation of getting Lugerman to fix it... If Hugh Clark can fix the million dollary safety chip in original Luger grips so you can't tell it has been repaired, he can probably fix your custom stock the same way...
Regardless of the quality of his work, the number and frequency of the complaints against Lugerman continue to mount. I can't see why hardly anyone, would do business with him, ...except maybe for Ed Tinker, who lives close enough to him to pay him an unexpected visit when he doesn't answer the mail... If I HAD to do business with him, it would have to be on a face to face basis. Just my $0.02, and I think they were spent wisely...
