There are a huge number of 'myths' that continue and will continue to be bantered about at gun shows and even old time collectors.

Since you brought this up Eric, lets see what I can think of;

Bomb is a Test luger symbol (as state above, no its a DWM marking)
ALL 1920 marked lugers are re-arsenaled
The 1920 shows that it was xxxxx
Most police guns are rearsenaled / made from parts
Nickle / chrome lugers were made for Navy use or more believable but false, were presentation guns
