I have a 1916 DWM that was reworked for police use with a sear safety. It has a magazine with an aluminum bottom with a matching number (but no letter), and a number 2 on it. Apparently the original magazine in 1916 would have had a wood bottom. Is the correctly numbered aluminum bottom something it acquired in the police rework?
