You are correct that your eyes can cross looking at all the examples on Simpson, Ltd. But that is why these guys always recommend learning, doing research, buying bookls and then buying you Luger, not the other way around. That makes your first purchase a good experience.
I don't know anything about Swiss, but there are a lot of guys here who do. There is even a special column for Swiss Lugers. Ask questions and learn.
$2250 should buy you a lot of Luger, but I understand that for some odd reason the Swiss stuff is pricey.
