Over the years I have seen a couple of M1900 Lugers with that tapped hole in the grip. I do not think a stock screwed directly into the hole but rather an elongated piece on the stock shaped to fit the lower part of the grip that was affixed by a knurled or thumb screw. That would give more bearing surface on the grip rather than a threaded thin rod with a butt plate on the end.

That's about how I figured it would work, Ron. Just wondered if any examples of a stock attached in this manner had been documented with pics or description...perhaps an aftermarket manufactured item offered as an accessory. Just as likely these adaptations were home made, as I've seen "carbines" listed online that were not original, Martz, or (!)Golubtsov.
