But ole slabsides just had it's 100th birthday and is far from being retired, any one on here knows i own 1911's and a1' s and all kinds of the variants. And i shoot them, the 1917 and 1918's too. One pistol the luger retired long ago the other is still in the hands of fighting men and women where ever they may be, i am not the only one that feels this way i am sure, i just maybe the only one that speaks it, my regards to all of you, Padre Dan

Lol yeah the 1911, one pistol that could have fought the war on its own.
Still one heck of a pistol.
I shoot alot of .22 since its cheap and have a Sig 1911-22 (same as the GSG with Sig markings) and out of the 5 .22 pistols I have it is my favorite, most reliable and consistently most accurate.(regardless of ammo)
