Unusual Holster

Apologies as the reference I couldn't find was the prose on one offered on the SimpsonLTD site: "Unmarked. Takedown tool pouch under flap. Bender shows this style of holster on the cover of his book and identifies it as a Swiss 1930's modified holster. This particular holster is not modified and I am sure it is Swiss or possibly German Imperial period commercial. Original dark brown leather all original stitching intact. Overall condition Very Good-Excellent., "

Bender's Luger Holsters & Accessories of the 20th Century indeed has a photo on page 200 with a description "German Oddball Conversion".

It is indeed also on the cover of the same book and the inside jacket identifies it as a "1930's Swiss Commercial Conversion".

In retrospect, I've been about as much help as a glass eye here. Hope others can provide some insight.
