A true pioneer who opened the doors of serious Luger collecting and studying for everyone that came after him.
He will never be forgotten!

I still have my first reference book by Fred Datig from the early 1960s. We should be thankful that Datig put his Luger knowledge and experience in a form that could be available for all of us to learn from. Many authors after Datig used his work as a basis for their subsequent documents.

May Fred Datig rest in peace in God's presence.
