Possibly a John Martz's custom " in the white " finish. If so, usually the initals "JVM" will appear behind the sideplate, often on the frame at or near that location. Often John's guns can be found with mis-matched numbers.

I agree with Chuck. This weekend I stopped by a gun shop and they must have just bought someones John Martz's collection as they had stainless 4", artillery (complete with stainless sight), a 6 inch and a baby luger. All were beautifuly finished in stainless.

I'm a bit confused on the term "finished in stainless". Seems to me that the gun is either constructed entirely of stainless steel, or, more likely, it is an original steel Luger that has some sort of silver electro finish plated over a matt blasted surface. The thought of constructing a small # of artillery Lugers from stainless steel seems like quite an undertaking to say the least.

Well, they aren't stainless, they are brightly polished. You can see a 4 inch barrel one under the old pictures on the left of one I used to own.
Also, I think it is more likely a hard chrome or other hard plating;they have some that are shiney and some that are duller. Unless made by hand, its not stainless, no one has made one commericially except Aimco and they have a look about them. ed

To answer the hard chrome question, try to scratch the surface with a sewing needle. If it scratches it's not chromed. If it won't scratch, it is chromed. Do it in a place that is hidden.
