Default Firing issues...will she or won't she?????

I have a comm 6" shooter...It'll usually fire a couple of dozen times, maybe more, and then...nothing.
You can eject the round in the chamber, and see a slight indentation from the firing pin, but no firing...too many times to be a "dud" round, and the fire perfectly from my Beretta, even afterwards.

It's almost like the breech block is "loading up", preventing the firing pin from going all the way forward...or am I just imagining that?
It is a "true" firing pin, not a re-pop.

Anyone with any ideas?

Thanks

Have you cleaned everything? Including the FP cavity in the breech, and the back of the FP?
Maybe a new spring? Is the breech closing fully? Toggles down and all that? This only happens after being shot a couple dozen times? Heat may play a part.
