The seller claims that the pistol configuration that is shown was made 2 times, which is possible. The curiosity is, as Mauro mentioned, the stock lug.

In the aftermath of the Parabellum production, the late 1980s, early 90s, Mauser produced just about any configuration that people were willing to pay for, using spares they still had available. On occassions they even rebuilt existing pistols.

Mauser offered a hard chrome finish as an extra option if desired. Chrome plating was done by its sister company, the measuring tools company.
