Just got my first luger and could use a little help.

Jeffrey, I agree with John S, get rid of those white Franzite grips. They can be tighten up with some rubber O rings under the grip screws, but your luger with look better with better fitting new repro wood or BW plastic grips for around $25. If your Weimar PO8 (later reworked at an Army depot, judging from right side markings) is in fact all matching with an exc bore, it may be a candidate for resoration and a more original type wood grips (@$50) to go with the improved finish.
