I doubt there is still one billion dollar note or not, looks like 10 billion paper value cannot cover its print cost.

Zimbabwe is experiencing hyperinflation. Currently, the government limits cash withdrawals to ZW$100 billion per day, which is less than the cost of a loaf of bread. Zimbabwe used to be Rhodesia.

For cross referencing, a commuting bus ticket was 2.5 billion last July. For obvious reason, that was on news. Just past a single year, I guess 25 trillion cannot buy a ticket.

I'm afraid were heading the same way, unless we can stop the runaway printing and spending. 1920's Germany was the same, thats why my Grandfather legally immigrated to the USA

Yes, this is exactly what happened to Germany after World War I too, but for different reasons. Here is a picture of a Ten Million Mark banknote dated August 22, 1923. It is only printed on one side.

As collectors we know what was going on with our Lugers at this time.

During this time of hyperinflation in Germany it would literally take a wheel barrow full of such paper money to simply buy a loaf of bread.

In 1994 one Rand (South Africa) was about one Zim dollar. At this stage R8.20 (Rand) is about 1 US$ It shows what can happen in 15 years. We had inflation of about 8% on average in RSA, but our friends across the border are measuring inflation in millions of percentage points.
