A 1940 42 Rig Turns Up

Did I miss something new concerning 1940/42 Mausers with the brown bakelight grips. I understood that some of these around the f through h serial numbers where originally equiped with the bakelite grips I believe there is information to that effect on this sight. I acquired a 1940/42 years ago under similar circumstances less than 300 numbers later than this one with the same grips. Would appreciate some of the experts weighing in on this
