1939 Luger
Thank you for your response! Sorry, was out for a while.
The "suffiX" appears to be letter "S". I understand the Lugers were made in series of 10,000? And the 42 code, started from letter "R" . Given that mine is "S", with a number of 950, is there any significant collector value to that, being a low number, in the early production? Thank you. more pix below.. |

You ask if there is a significant collector value due to the low serial number, in your case I don't think so. Three digit serial is not that uncommon. I have two Lugers with single digit serial, guess I paid about 10% more for those.. it's neat, but not much more than that.
It's a very nice Luger you bought, congrats with it!
