Trigger guard Prussian Eagles are discussed in word and photograph on pages 257 - 259 of the book Central Powers Pistols. Most were applied to pistols according to orders dated July 1918 to further identify German Army property. They are found on Lugers, M1896/1916, 1914 Mauser, Beholla, Sauer 1913 and some others. They are rarely found on the P08.
