Thank you for the welcome! I have been lurking much longer than my Jan 08 registration date, but since I just don't have the cash for the Luger game, I am just a spectator. However, I do own a byf 42 rig I have had for 20 years which I bought back when a blue collar guy could afford them.

What made me think it was a Luger holster in the auction, was the typical mag cutout and the pull strap (which appears to be broken on the inside?). The holster kind of reminds me of some post war P35 Browning Hi Power holsters I have seen, but the mag pouch and pull strap are wrong for that.

Plus, the construction is not a-typical German, ie a formed wrap around front sown onto a flat rear piece. This one has a body that wraps around and meets in the middle. I just don't know, that is why I came to the experts!
