Target sight preference???

Here is what started out as S/42 #90717. I traded a matched Erfurt for this mismatch back in the seventies. It has a micro rear sight attached to the rear toggle link. The barrel was turned from a .30 carbine barrel. I have mixed feelings about this piece. I don't like the way the front sight was done, it just don't look right. I wish it were 9mm because .30 luger cases are hard to come by and it's a pain to chase empties. I haven't shot this thing in years. It functions well with a stout load of Unique behind a Speer plinker or 100 gr. carbine bullet. If I knew more about posting pictures, I would have included more views. Maybe I'll figure that out later. I have thought about having it returned to original look and caliber but that is almost as expensive as one in like condition, so I'm leaving it as is.
