Jimmy,
I am not a big fan of Third Reich Lugers, but you have acquired an outstanding example. Your Luger brings back memories. Looking back to my collecting beginnings, my first Luger was a byf coded Mauser in the condition of your gun, also with a minty holster and two matching magazines. Beginner's luck knows no generational boundries. (Just to rub it in, mine cost $35.00...but that was in 1957) Even though I have settled in on Imperial era Lugers, I still appreciate a true gem when it surfaces. Congratulations, even though it may have been a little premature your $4100 was well spent, and the market will overtake that number before very long. You would be very hard pressed to find a better one and I hope you enjoy it for years. Put some Connolly's on the holster and get Jerry to replace the lift strap.
