Regarding your question on the high/low wood stock, from the pictures of ejc carbine I can't tell for sure if it is high or low. However on a low wood stock the cut for the operating rod handle was longer . This exposed the entire operating shaft whereas with a high wood stock the cut wasn't as long and more of the operating shaft was covered by the stock
