New to me BYF ??? Pictures Added
Hi guys! New to the forum and have a couple of questions. I will appreciate any help. I just got this P08 from a friend and I'm not sure about the grips. It's a BYF 41, all matching serial numbers 14XX with what looks like a backward Q below the serial number on the front of the trigger guard. The serial number on the mag also matches and the base is aluminum. The pistol is in 90-95% condition with no rust or pitting and just a few small dings. Very little wear, all of the sharp edges are still blued. The grips appear to be brown bakelite and have what looks like a target? symbol on the top end. Are these the correct grips for this model and does anyone have an idea of the value of this pistol? TIA for any info!!

Hi Paul,
From the description of the grips. It sounds like you have a VOPO. A luger captured by the Russians and issued to the East German police. Without some photos it is very hard to give an assessment. A VOPO in good condition will sell for around $800-$1000. Ron
