Thanks Star... I have numerous boxes of the Winchester 9mm that I shoot in my S&W M&P 9mm. I've been wanting to take it to the range when I go, but am hesitant for just the reason you said....breaking a part. Thanks for the info on the Prussian Hussars and the link. Getting much usefull info on here. Keep it coming.

Ok, Star...Or is it Ann? I just found a thread you started back in December of '07 showing pics of your collection. HOLY COW!!!! I am more than envious. Gees, what a collection of Lugers.

You had made mention that a couple of yours were in holsters when you got them and seemed to indicate that this was not good. Above, when I told a little of the history behind my gun, I had mentioned that a German citizen made that holster for my grand dad, and made it out of the briefcase that the soldier was carrying when he killed him and acquired the side arm. This luger has been in that holster since... and is still in that holster now. I figured that if it was in that holster for the past 60 years and is still in the condition it is in now...I should leave it there. Bad idea?
